Ford Fiesta (13 - present)

Regarded by many as the best small car Ford has ever produced, the Fiesta was given a fresh new look in 2013, and with its new Aston Martin-esque grille, pulled back angular headlights and attractive curves – it is now also one of the best looking small cars on the market.  The supermini has been a huge seller since its launch - both on the new and used market. It looks great, drives well and is really economical. An ideal car for a beginner or an experienced driver, it is fun to drive and has some quite pokey engines. Its big plusses are its low price and running costs. The cabin is smartly designed, comfortable and loaded with new technology. Also being a smaller-engined compact car, and a Ford,  it is sure to hold its value well come resale time.
